GET READY FOR NEXT-LEVEL MAYHEM WITH BORDERLANDS 3 SEASON PASS 2 (New Skill Trees being announced soon)

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 07:35 AM PDT

More mayhem comes to Borderlands 3 in Season Pass 2, featuring the Designer's Cut and Director's Cut!

Get ready to make all kinds of mayhem with Borderlands 3's new Season Pass 2, which will feature two more add-ons unlike anything we've done before. This new season will include the Designer's Cut and Director's Cut DLCs, which each offer new modes and ways to play. A copy of Borderlands 3 is required to play the content in Season Pass 2, which will be available for purchase on November 10 starting with the Designer's Cut. The second half of Season Pass 2, Director's Cut, is planned to release in Spring 2021; we'll have more details to share closer to launch.

In the Designer's Cut, launching on November 10 for all platforms, you'll get an additional Skill Tree for each Vault Hunter and a brand-new game mode called Arms Race. We'll be diving deeper into these features in the coming weeks, with some big reveals planned:

    • October 20, 9:00 AM PT - Amara/FL4K new Skill Tree reveals with livestreams and a special episode of Ultimate Vault Hunters
    • October 22, 9:00 AM PT - Moze/Zane new Skill Tree reveals with livestreams and a special episode of Ultimate Vault Hunters
    • October 29, 9:00 AM PT - The Borderlands Show premieres, featuring the new Arms Race mode and much more
    • October 30, 9:00 AM PT - The Bordercast debuts the first live, hands-on Arms Race gameplay

Starting at 9:00 AM PT on October 20, see Amara and FL4K's new Skill Trees in action over on the official Borderlands Twitch channel as members of the Borderlands Creator Team showcase a fresh suite of powerful Action Skills and passive skills; Schviftyfive and Triple_Gz will also delve into the new trees on an episode of Ultimate Vault Hunters. Then come back a week later at 9:00 AM PT on October 22 to see live gameplay of Moze and Zane's new Skill Trees, with Moxsy serving up a fresh build on Ultimate Vault Hunters.

If you can't make the streams, don't worry! We'll reveal the new Skill Trees in their entirety over on the character pages for Amara the Siren, FL4K the Beastmaster, Moze the Gunner, and Zane the Operative so you can start theorycrafting your next killer build.

On October 29, a special episode of The Borderlands Show will premiere at 9:00 AM PT on the Borderlands Twitch channel, showcasing everything you need to know about the new Arms Race mode. Regular hosts Greg Miller and Fran Mirabella from Kinda Funny will be joined by special guests to discuss all the added mayhem in the Designer's Cut.

Then on October 30 at 9:00 AM PT on the Borderlands Twitch channel, join Mitsu and Tessachka for an episode of The Bordercast dedicated to Arms Race, including the first-ever live hands-on gameplay. Can't wait to get more information about the new mode before then? Check out this recent GameSpot interview.

We're saving Director's Cut details for another day, but rest assured it will be bursting with next-level mayhem as Borderlands 3 continues its second year. Be sure to come back for all the imminent reveals, and we'll see you in the chat!

Looking for friends to play BL3 with on PS4

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 02:17 PM PDT

I've just recently re-downloaded Borderlands after shelving the game since this time last year. I started from scratch and created a Zane and able to comfortably play at 65 M10. I've farmed for countless items and now I'm running out of things to do again. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do now?

And yes I've played through all the DLC's and base game content.

My PSN is damnnumb for those willing to add me and play with me to help me feel refreshed!

I'm going to be playing through The Pre-sequel with the Mrs (Xbox 360), and would like character suggestions. Thoughts?

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 01:25 PM PDT

She played Mordecai and Lilith in 1 and Gaige in 2. She didn't particularly like being a siren in either game.

I was thinking of having her be Fake Jack while I play Claptrap. She isn't picky about which weapons she's using (though I hear "I need better guns" quite frequently until we hit the level cap and I've farmed some decent gear).

Are DigiJacks helpful enough? Might Wilhelm be a better choice based on her previous preferences? Jack seems cooler and stronger than Willy.

I've done Mordecai, Lilith, Roland and Maya so far. Clappy seems like a nice change of pace. Does he get annoying, or is he funny enough to make it worthwhile?

I don't particularly care about the rng. I think it's fine. However, if it's detrimental to a teammate's play experience I might need to reconsider this position.

"You call this archaeology?" trophy glitch

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 01:12 PM PDT

Searched the whole Google for this and didn't find an answer, so maybe I'll try here. I'm replaying the GOTY on PS4 with my gf trying to get the platinum once again. We've already beaten 2 playthroughs, dlcs etc., but today I've noticed she didn't get the "You call this archaeology?", although she already have all elemental artifacts obviously. She tried to change them, use different elementals with her skill, restarting the game solo and in coop - nothing helped. Any ideas? :<

    For the love of Moze

Please remove self damage from the V-35 grenade launcher on Iron Bear or give a skill that can reduce/remove self damage. Now, I was working on a "MURICA" grenade moze build. With the tiggs boom and firestorm basically acting like Murica does and just dropping a bunch of explosives on anything that moves. Aside from the fact that the firestorm instantly downs you with torgue cross promotion(TCP) because of the radius, I was having fun with the build. After the bonuses from AOE, Grenade and splash damage rolls on my class mod + pull the holy pin, TCP and the incendiary damage bonuses moze has, the firestorm was doing...some damage with the tiggs boom doing the rest.

(Side note, we can revert the 70% nerf on the firestorm. It was necessary...back at level 50)

However the V-35 on the iron bear is completely useless. Once you get all those grenade/splash/AoE bonuses on Iron Bear and head to M10, the grenades start doing upwards of 8M damage a piece. Sounds good until a grenade hits an enemy slightly too close. Or it hits some geometry in a janky way and basically rube goldbergs back into your face. Or torgue yells "EXPLOSIONS!?" from the top of his mountain and TCP double radius clips you. Sometimes grenades have a physics heart attack and explode before going anywhere. Basically, Iron Bear is instagibbed by your own grenades 2 seconds into getting it. It's usable if you're fighting Enemies that don't get close and personal and you launch them a good distance away, but it gets old fast having to constantly run away from enemies that move faster than IB just to get enough space to maybe not kill yourself.

Now you might think "Git Gud", but all I need to do to "fix" my issue is to just not use the Nade launcher and just do the radiation nuke, or in fact any of the rocket variations. But just for a second, imagine how unusable the nukes would be if they did self damage. Sure you could do all types of gymnastics, spacing and timing to use them without blowing up iron bear every time but nobody would take the time to use it. And even that would be invalidated if TCP procs making the radius so large that most maps wouldn't even give you enough space to safely use it. That's what it feels like using the grenade launchers, and they aren't even as powerful as the rockets. Can we get a nice QOL change? Im pretty sure no self damage on these nades isn't gonna break IB.
