Borderlands 3 super-spoilery story megathread 2 Posted: 16 Sep 2019 08:39 AM PDT It's been a few days since the first megathread and 800 comments so let's make a new one. As with the first one, this thread is meant to contain spoilers so if you'd like to remain unspoiled then turn back now. With that said, if you'd still like to use the spoiler feature in your comments use >!spoiler!< and it will show up like spoiler. Thanks for comin' out. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Sep 2019 06:01 AM PDT Hope it helps someone! It's the route at Jakobs Estate, for anyone that doesn't already know it. Edit: As others have pointed out, there's actually a closer save to spawn at located here! Edit 2: Thanks for all of the kind words - would you guys be interested in more short tutorials like this? I may work on some more. [link] [comments] |
They are working on a patch. hope it comes soon Posted: 16 Sep 2019 03:21 PM PDT |
Posted: 16 Sep 2019 04:58 PM PDT Seriously, I'm playing as Moze and every time she's hit with shock or corrosive she starts sounding like she is taking it up the ass. [link] [comments] |
Amara should be able to switch between her action skill elements by holding the action skill button. Posted: 16 Sep 2019 03:33 PM PDT As you obtain access to mayhem modes enemy resistances become a much bigger factor when it comes to determining what elements you use. With amara, chances are you're converting a portion of your weapon damage into your action skill element. Sadly at times this can be detrimental unless you go in and out of your menu to switch the element type depending on if you're facing an enemy with shields, armor etc. so In order to improve the flow of her combat and also to make her further exemplify her "master of the elements" persona I think it'd be great to allow her to switch elements on the fly. Please tell me what you guys think of this idea. [link] [comments] |
Has anyone else noticed BL3 inventory is quite "laggy"? Posted: 16 Sep 2019 08:40 AM PDT I'm not sure if it's just me, but my frames seem to drop a lot anytime i open the inventory. Also when i drag a gun from slot 4 for example to slot 1, it also lags a lot. [link] [comments] |
Is it just me or are the gunfights in BL3 way longer than any other title? Not complaining. Posted: 16 Sep 2019 06:22 AM PDT I notice I'll be fighting goons and just when I think I'm almost done, another wave of them come out. It just adds more time for me to be a bad ass lol, but RIP to my ammo capacity. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Sep 2019 12:11 AM PDT He consistently managed to make me laugh and his performance really fitted the style of borderlands, so just showing love for a great performance. [link] [comments] |
Please make cutscenes And dialogue skippable. Posted: 16 Sep 2019 03:00 PM PDT I understand that a lot of work was put into these cutscenes and dialogue, but a lot of players including myself will be playing through the campaign a minimum of 8 times. If the devs are reading this please make cutscenes and longer dialogue sequences skippable to save us time. Doing so would also make a speedrun far more possible and enjoyable. [link] [comments] |
PSA: you can open loot piles (like skag piles) and certain containers by sliding over them! Posted: 16 Sep 2019 01:34 PM PDT Basically the title. You just slide over them, automatically pick up all the crap and move on. Ideal when you need ammo/health but need to keep moving. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Sep 2019 04:03 AM PDT its supposed to be an epic Boss fight and when all you hear for 5-10 minutes is "Arrgh" "Urggh" "Arrgh" "Grrruughhh" "ARRRRGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!" "REEEAAAUUUGGHHHH!!!!!!!" It absolutely drives me insane. Now normal enemies its kind of fine because they die faster but even then the Status effects need to probably be quieter. Unique Dialogue from enemies is better than Shocking Noises. Take for example the seemingly epic fight with Troy, or Aurelia or the Zero like fight with Katagawa and the Two Traunt Brothers as they throw insults at you and half way through shit talking you the screams over lap the insults so you don't get to hear what they are saying half the time. Boss battles take up most of you attention its not hard to see all the small numbers constantly poping up and seeing them on fire or seeing electric surge all over them. Its actually another reason I love Cryo because enemies don't constantly scream every 2 seconds. Its especially worse playing as Amara because I am constantly getting Status Effects left and right. I found a legendary weapon in a trash can. A F**KING TRASH CAN!!! Posted: 16 Sep 2019 08:18 PM PDT |
Posted: 16 Sep 2019 04:33 AM PDT Ala The Division. You don't want the item. You don't want to equip the item. You're just interested in it's resale value. Let us loot as junk so we don't have to navigate the broken ass inventory that resets its cursory position every time you sell something. /rant - sweet game though GB, having loads of fun. Just not when I press the select button. [link] [comments] |

Re-spec’d Fl4k tonight. Went from having fun to having an insane amount of fun. Posted: 16 Sep 2019 08:57 PM PDT So I originally decided to dump all my points on the blue skill tree for Fl4k. I was having fun but felt like the active ability and passive abilities were a bit lacking in that tree. I talked to a friend at work who's playing Fl4k as well and he suggested re-speccing and dropping points into the green tree. I did just that, upgraded all the way to the second to last tier and MY GOD it was like night and day for me. All of the passive abilities are so useful. Constantly regenerating health and getting boosted gun damage, movement, and crits is so useful. I've also upgraded the Jabber pet the whole way, and he now revives and attacks with a sub machine gun/rocket launcher. The action skill makes me feel invincible; mowing down enemies and taking out badasses in seconds is so satisfying. My co-op partner is running Zane, so when we're swarmed he throws down his shield and summons his clone and I deal massive damage from behind the shield. I get so excited when we're swarmed so we can just go god mode for a bit. Anyways, just a little rant. Having a lot more fun than I expected. I just got a new GPU (RTX 2070 Super) and this is the first game I got to really put it to use on, so I'm feeling really happy about my upgrade too. [link] [comments] |
Any Moze players encountering this bug? Posted: 16 Sep 2019 04:20 PM PDT Sometimes when you hop in your mech it just immediately kicks you back out and boom wasted my entire action skill. Can be a little annoying to be honest. [link] [comments] |
Vladof has a grenade called "it's piss" Posted: 16 Sep 2019 06:29 AM PDT I got a legendary grenade mod called "it's piss" and people covered in it take increased damage and it will extinguish status effects on allies. It's basically a jarate from team fortress 2 and I love it lmao [link] [comments] |
FL4K when commanding an attack: that one was talking shit Posted: 16 Sep 2019 06:54 AM PDT |
would you all enjoy a fallout style radio on the Echo device? Posted: 16 Sep 2019 08:13 AM PDT I think it would be pretty cool. You could have a few stations. Some ideas I have of stations : Handsome Radio (plays BL2 music with some commentary by a Jack Doppleganger Torgue radio (just plays Metal and Hard rock] Badonkadonk Bops (Tina's side hustle while not working with brick and mordy) Holy Broadcast Station (has BL3 music with commentary by the Calypsos on your kills and story progression mixed in) [link] [comments] |
I Don't Understand The Sudden Disdain of Borderlands Humor Posted: 16 Sep 2019 08:37 PM PDT The humor of Borderlands is what makes, Borderlands, Borderlands. Cringe humor and bad jokes galore, it's what it lives for. Humor is a purely subjective thing, and you either love or hate certain types. And while I can admit that Borderlands can be a little too over-the-top at times, it just simply adds to its personality and there are some legitimate humorous moments throughout the franchise. Now with the release of Borderlands 3, I am seeing constant tweets from journalists (I feel that this may honestly be more of a political issue, than it is a critical one, so I don't really blame journalists by themselves, as most tend to do.) complaining about the humor, and making jokes about how bad it is. Like yeah, that's pretty much the point. And many of the reviews complaining about it, whoo. I'm seeing it everywhere now however, and not just from critics. People complaining about how terrible Vaughn and Tiny Tina are as characters (I personally love them both) and how they play with the dialogue audio turned down. It's strange, because I don't remember this kind of general reaction when Borderlands 2 released. Am I simply seeing too much into things, or do I actually something of a point? Let me know, because I'm sitting here giggling at the blatantly poor man's comedy in sheer bewilderment. [link] [comments] |

Please let me put my pet in a “passive/sleep” mode. Posted: 16 Sep 2019 07:50 AM PDT It is so hard to level up Goliath's and Varkids alone playing as FL4K, and it's hard to do other activities like use the slot machines. Your pet just love to nudge you around. [link] [comments] |
Fun little Iron Man reference I found. Posted: 16 Sep 2019 05:12 AM PDT While farming Loot Tinks, I found a legendary Launcher called the Jericho. The red text says "I prefer the weapon you only have to fire once.." and when your shoot it, the rocket arcs up into the air then splits into 3 mini rockets. Thought I'd share that. Shout out to the audio wizards from Borderlands 3 Posted: 16 Sep 2019 05:32 PM PDT Big shoutout to the musicians, the soundtrack / ambient is absolutely amazing and one of the best I've heard in years! Every single thing about it. Godlike. That's how it should be. And of course, the weapon sounds, you nailed it. :) I just created this account to do this, because first of all you've deserved it and second I want more of this. :D Of course the other departments did also a great job but this was one of the first things that made me fall in love with this one. Borderlands 3 made for a fantastic weekend with my wife and I’m super happy Posted: 16 Sep 2019 06:57 AM PDT I'm on mobile, so sorry if formatting is wonky. Not really sure if this is a good place to post, but I just wanted to share about our positive experience with the game so far! I hope other couples are having the same experience we are with the game. We haven't really had a rough patch, but playing the game together this weekend, staying up late, laughing and yelling at different things in the game, anxiously discussing what would happen to our favorite characters as the story progressed, and downing junk food and soda to fuel our sessions has really brought us back to what we love about being with each other. To all the other vault hunting couples, I hope the game is as good an experience for you two as it has been for us! To Gearbox, I wanna thank them from the bottom of my heart for sticking to what makes the series great instead of growing trends. Your games have provided so much fun to so many, and even with bugs and all, I'm so grateful that BL3 is here. You all here on the subreddit, thank you for posting and keep it up! This is quickly becoming my most visited subreddit just to read about what others are experiencing. The bug thread was a great example of how many people are willing to help others out with the game. I'm proud to be a part of a community that is so welcoming and helpful, even to newcomers! That's all for me being sappy I suppose for today. Thanks for reading, and happy vault haunting y'all!!
