Imagine if this guy listened to Tyreen and cut off one leg and lived instead of getting leached. Later seeing a random one legged psycho hopping towards you later on in the game. Devs missed out on a hilarious moment.

Competitors weapons in named chests in bl3

    Posted: 08 Nov 2019 04:01 AM PST

I realise that loot is generated at random and love that about the series. But does anyone else think it would of been nice in 3 to have named chests only have loot for that company. My example is jakobs chests only containing jakobs weapons. Seeing as they make a big deal of if it took more then one shot you weren't using a Jakobs. I mean I would expect it of all the company's seeing as a main part of this game is fighting corporate wars between the gun manufactures. In saying that having random loot in branded chests can be seen as the war escalating between company's that there infiltrating thier weapons supplys.

The ATLAS assault rifles are the best non-legendary “mobbing” weapons, change my mind.

    Posted: 08 Nov 2019 05:51 AM PST

I've leveled up FL4k and Zane now, and all the way through normal mode (and even in the beginning of tvhm) I've had one of these the whole time and switched them out every other level.

The damage is some of the highest across all manufacturers, they always have a good scope, those with lower fire rate shoot 2 bullets in one shot for the cost of one ammo, and they're almost always available for cheap from vending machines. Have I missed something?

Self-made Bottomless Moze, built around my usage of Dahl or Vladof ARs

    Posted: 08 Nov 2019 05:48 PM PST

Hello! This is my first post here, but a couple of people have asked for my Moze build, so I figured I would make a post so I could just link it to whoever asks instead. If you see anything wrong with my post, or ways the build could be improved, please leave a comment! Any and all tips are appreciated!

So, I wanna start off by saying I built this myself, picking my perks during my playtime and utilizing loot I have found while playing. This includes my mod and artifact, in which this build wouldn't be possible without.

The goal of the build is to increase your magazine size extensively, so that the ammo regeneration overpowers the rate of fire of your AR, producing a truly bottomless magazine. Making use of my mod, artifact, and weapon perks, I can fire a literally endless stream of bullets into any target with little to no recoil and heavily increased damage. So far, in my testing, it works wonderfully with my two favorite manufacturers: Dahl and Vladof.

    Perks:

Bottomless Mags - 26 Skill Points

Obviously, this is where the majority of your skill points will go, so you can unlock the final perk in the tree, Forge.

    • +5 Cloud Of Lead - Shots deal bonus Incendiary damage and do not consume ammo.

Every 4th shot will not use ammo, allowing your regeneration to refill you more effectively.

    • +5 Matched Set - Equipping weapons from the same manufacturer grant stacking bonuses to magazine size.

Equipping 4 of the same manufacturer (Dahl or Vladof for me) grants a 10% bonus to your weapon's magazine.

    • +1 Redistribution - Critical hits regenerate ammo for a few seconds.

Self explanatory. Hit eyeballs, get free bullets.

    • +2 Stoke the Embers - Deal increased Incendiary damage.

With Cloud of Lead, every weapon becomes Incendiary. This simply increases their elemental damage.

    • +5 Scorching RPM's - Increased rate of fire and critical damage.

Self explanatory. Fire bullets faster and deal more critical damage.

    • +5 The Iron Bank - Increased magazine size.

Massive blanket buff to all weapons' magazine sizes, 35% larger to be exact.

    • +1 Specialist Bear - Equip Iron Bear with two of the same weapon for increased damage.

Iron Bear gets some love here, too. It is a valuable asset against groups or bosses, so the increase in damage is very helpful.

    • +1 Some for the Road - Exiting Iron Bear grants infinite ammo for a short period.

This allows for usage of other potentially strong weapons. Especially nice with Torgue shotguns if you decide to run it.

+1 Forge - Constantly regen ammo for your currently equipped weapon.

The most important perk, to the build, and the one we are trying to abuse. It regens 5% of the magazine per second. The larger your magazine, the faster your ammo will regenerate. But your perks alone won't be enough to abuse Forge fully. That comes from the gear I use, more on that later.

Demolition Woman - 11 skill points

I spam my grenades, a LOT. The perks chosen here help enhance the ammo regen, on top of boosting your Iron Bear with Auto Bear and abusing Some for the Road.

    • +5 Grizzled - Killing an enemy reduces Iron Bear's cooldown time.

This allows you to activate and exit Iron Bear more often, abusing the Some for the Road perk.

    • +3 Means of Destruction - Dealing splash damage has a chance to regen ammo and grenades.

Cause boom, get free bullets and more booms.

    • +2 Torgue Cross-Promotion - Splash Damage has a chance to double in size.

Bigger booms means more enemies hit by Means of Destruction which means more chances to regen ammo and grenades.

    • +1 Auto Bear - Exiting Iron Bear will cause it to remain active for 15 seconds, attacking enemies on its own.

Exit the Iron Bear to get infinite ammo and a free sentry turret.

Shield of Retribution - 11 skill points

This is just a general point split for Moze to increase her damage and better protect herself.

    • +1 Security Bear - Grants a bubble shield to Iron Bear.

Protects you upon exiting, protects Auto Bear while it attacks enemies.

    • +5 Armored Infantry - While your shield is active, gain increased gun damage and take reduced damage.

Blanket buff to weapon damage and take less damage from enemies.

    • +5 Vladof Ingenuity - Increased maximum shield and take reduced damage from Shock.

Increase your shield and lose it less often to Shock damage.

    Gear:

    Weapons

Obviously, weapon choice is up to you as the user. But, in my experience, Vladof and Dahl weapons have incredible versatility and very large base magazine sizes. This means they are granted large bonuses to their magazines through all of the perks.

    • Vladof Schlago (Epic rarity)

This weapon boasts a respectable base magazine size of 60, with a good rate of fire and great accuracy. It also rocks underbarrel attachments for different scenarios, as well as scope options. I prefer the Bipod, which cuts virtually all recoil, and the 5x Weapon Zoom, for better targeting at longer ranges.

I run two Schlagos. Both are 5x zoom with bipods. One is Corrosive, with 26% increased damage. The other is Resolute, with 32% increased damage.

    • Vladof Lucian's Call (Legendary rarity)

A staple to the Vladof build, Lucian's doesn't need many perk bonuses to have a bottomless magazine, due to it returning 2 bullets to the magazine for every single critical hit. It also clears large crowds fairly quickly when bullets ricochet.

    • Vladof Engulfing Shredifier (Legendary rarity)

So far, I have yet to get the Shredifier to fire endlessly, but it can fire for incredibly long periods of time before having to think about reloading. Insanely high rate of fire with great damage, at the cost of accuracy. Find one with a bipod to mitigate that cost.

    • Vladof Faisor (Legendary rarity)

The Faisor is a powerful AR boasting a high rate of fire that is again too fast to have a bottomless magazine. But, it does deal massive amounts of damage in close range, using as either an AR, or as a shotgun with the underbarrel attachment.

    • Dahl Warlord

In my experience, the Warlord is the only Dahl weapon that can have bottomless mags. It's unique perk is similar to the fan favorite One Pump Chump: it has a 30% chance to not consume ammo. This, coupled with the increased magazine size and lack of ammo consumption already from Cloud of Lead, it can generate ammo faster than it can consume it. Run with 3 other Dahl weapons to make use of Matched Set and gain the most out of the gun.

    Class Mod

You can only use one Class Mod at a time. You want one that will boost your damage and magazine size. Here are some personal examples I use from my inventory:

    • Bulletproof Entrenched Shield Maiden (Epic rarity)- +2 Phalanx Doctrine, +3 Armored Infantry, +31% Assault Rifle damage, +24% Magazine size

Grants me a large boost to my AR damage, as well as increases my damage due to Armored Infantry and from stacking Phalanx Doctrine. Also blanket buffs all magazine sizes.

    • Loyalist Investing Lemniscate (Epic rarity) - +2 The Iron Bank, +3 Matched Set, +31% Action Skill Cooldown Rate, +31% Assault Rifle damage

The perk bonuses grant straight buffs to magazine size. I get to activate Auto Bear more often for infinite ammo, and deal more damage with ARs.

    Artifacts

This is entirely user choice, but pay attention to the bonus buffs they come with. They can grant +40% magazine size, as well as damage buffs. Here is the one I use primarily:

    • Hallow Point Atom Balm (Epic rarity) - Enhances Radiation aura, making it larger and more deadly. +17% Assault Rifle damage, +29% Incendiary resistance, +40% Magazine size

I mostly don't make use of the radiation bonus, but I definitely make use of the blanket buff to my AR damage and mag sizes.

All in all, hopefully you can find this useful in building the ultimate ammo machine for Moze. Enjoy!

Am I the only who feels sniper rifle ADS sensitivity is wacked?

    Posted: 08 Nov 2019 01:16 PM PST

The ADS stick sensitivity on snipers feels so high compared to ADS for any other weapon type, I even turned down the ADS sensitivity in settings and it still feels ridiculously high but now too low for other weapons.

For example a Jakob's assault rifle's sensitivity with a scope feels entirely different than a Jakob's rifle with a nearly identical zoom level and the damage difference and capacity barely makes me even want to use snipers to begin with.

Anybody else feel this? Its basically making me not want to use sniper rifles because their high zoom levels coupled with uncontrollably high and differed sensitivity to other weapon types make them annoying to use.

I think they should add different sensitivity settings for each weapon type, or at least for zoom level 2x to 3x is this higher sensitivity or 6x to 8x time is this slower sensitivity for easier ranged targetting for example.

After playing all the side quests...

    Posted: 08 Nov 2019 06:14 AM PST

I realized that they incorporated the story narrative into the side quests, it seems that if played in the right order it would make the game feel much more fleshed out and give us a way better feeling of the end game. But there is no order to them and it seems weird for the game to not even try to set things up properly so that these quests are given at proper times.

Also it's insanely easy to tell that they planned on telling 70% of the story we want in DLC. They planned 4 dlc packs from the get go. So I doubt that tyreen and Troy were even the big baddies of BL3. I hope that once everything comes out. Playing through the story and then all the dlc In the right order gives us a huge story to play through.

dedicated drops will be a great addition, but can we please not get a gradual level rise?

    Posted: 08 Nov 2019 08:28 PM PST

so since we know that at some point soon we should be getting dedicated drops, I feel like we should address the elephant in the room that is the level progression we saw back in BL2. We farmed great equipment at level 50, then we got a level cap increase to 61, so we farmed that equipment again and threw out our old gear. Then the cap went to 72 and we did it all again. Then we got 8 OP levels and had to farm good gear every two OP levels or so. Then we got another level cap increase to 80 with even more OP levels.

Instead of this whole dog and pony show, can we please just get one single level cap raise to either 72 or 80 and then be done with it? We all know there will be level cap increases, and so the incentive to farm good gear now is decreased. Adding new gear with expansions which allow for new builds is great, but making our previously hard earned gear irrelevant is just annoying.

Is it just me or does the story seems really preoccupied in trying to make us think Lilith is super cool?

    Posted: 08 Nov 2019 12:37 PM PST

It's been bugging me for a while but the game seems to have a hard on for Lilith. She's called out as a hero in the intro, have the story make pit stops to have her own personal story that's pretty detached from 90% of the stuff you're doing, every other character only ever has praise for her and she even hijacks the ending! Ya it's super cool that you beat the main threat and all but just sit back and be quiet while I get super cool and heroic sacrifice and have the credits be full of people remembering just how cool I was while a giant glowing brand of my own ego is permanently branded in the sky for the rest of the game.

Is there any way at all to start a new character in TVHM on PS4?

I've almost finished my TVHM run on FL4K and really want to try Amara, but going through the game on normal again feels like it will sap my will to play. Especially those damn cutscenes...

    Fast travel stations missing

    Posted: 08 Nov 2019 11:30 AM PST

Idk if this is just me, but I'm missing fast travels stations, like A LOT. I can't get to cistern of slaughter without going to meridian metroplex, I can't get to slaughter shaft or the place that it's located on (forget the name) and slaughter star isn't even showing up anywhere. The drop pods are there and a few fast travel stations, but that's it. Pretty much the only good places I can go to is Athena's and heck (after I do the mission). Is anyone else having this issue?

So I've picked up what I had heard we're the 2 best drops from this event, the ghast and fearmonger. I understand the appeal of the ghast, but I think I either have wrong build/character or I am just not using the fearmonger properly. Can anyone explain why this is so sought after? FYI- I run elemental Amara as my main.

Bank space problem... gotta decide between two nice shotties... help a VH out

    Posted: 08 Nov 2019 04:42 AM PST

I love jakobs shotguns that reload fast and have low mag sizes + high damage, and I have two here but I have no idea which one is better.

One is 378 x12 with a reload of 0.9 sec,

The other is 359 x16 with a 1.2 sec reload.

All the other stats are very similar, except fire rate which is irrelevant in this case as they consume the whole mag of 3 per shot.

I don't know which one would do better dps, the slower reloading, higher damage 16 pellet one or the other very fast reloading less pellet version?
