I'd really like to see a map of Pandora in its entirety Posted: 13 Jun 2020 04:25 PM PDT At least a map of all the locations we get to see. I'm the Wiki, we have that for 1, 2, and TPS, separately and there's a BL3 interactive map of Pandora. But I'd like a realistic map, of course you'd have to make up highways and such but still, I think it's be awesome. You can connect BL1 and 2 because the Arid Badlands are in BL2, and you can connect Claptrap revolution to BL1 because the back of Fyrestone is in that DLC. It's pretty hard to connect every other DLC and BL3, but I'm sure if some good cartographers used their imagination, it could be great. The reason I say "some cartographers" is because I'm completely useless and won't actually make a map. I've made a couple of maps before, but they're all pretty bad, and none of them were for Borderlands. So please, if you're a cartographer and love Borderlands, be a dear? [link] [comments] |
Anointed mobs need serious re-balancing on higher mayhems Posted: 13 Jun 2020 06:03 PM PDT These mobs, all of them, have to be my least favourite out of the entire franchise. They're all cheap; every one of them has a mechanic that drags out the encounter far longer than it needs to be (teleport, immune phases etc), and all of them have no cooldown. They are, in my opinion at least, the worst designed mob in the game. This is exacerbated no end on higher mayhem. If you think I'm kidding, head in to lectra city on M7+. On M10, they spawn anointed in groups of 3 or 4 at once. The militant is especially awful, with their ability to teleport in front of you with their shield up while you're firing, causing you to one-hit yourself more often than not. Then they have an immune phase that lasts approximately 2.5 days while they spam fire under you. Then the go back to having a shield for another 2.5 days. They are absolutely not balanced for higher mayhem, and are outliers in the difficulty that put every boss encounter to shame. They really, really, need fixing. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Jun 2020 09:33 PM PDT I feel like gear box really needs to buff flaks pets, to me it just feels bad to have skills n classmods devoted to flaks pets but the pets themselves are so weak. Idk I would like for them to buff their health n damage up by a lot doesn't mean I want the pets to one shot enemies but it would definitely help if they would do more than 3k damage on a m10 enemy. I miss the old raid boss system (bl1 & 2) Posted: 13 Jun 2020 07:31 AM PDT I like how we were given a bunch of invincible enemies by the end of all the games dlc. Some of the bosses were still quite hard and each had different methods to best defeat them. Not all of the enemies were perfect, but I like that system way more than the bl3 takedown system. It would even be nice if they at least added a couple of those old type invincible enemies to the game but after dlc2 it kinda destroyed my hope. The old system even gave us a reason to spend eridium on bl2.... bl2 was way better in my opinion. [link] [comments] |
Ways to make BL3 even more enjoyable. Posted: 13 Jun 2020 04:51 PM PDT
Additionally, spread out the lootpool between bosses evenly and don't lock loot behind circle of slaughter unless it's guaranteed and then some.
Additionally, adding more modifiers would be fun so we have more variety.
Additionally, add more endgame activities in story dlc in the future.

200% damage bonus when action skill is active annointment doesnt work with auto-bear Posted: 13 Jun 2020 02:15 PM PDT What the title says. I got a hellshock M6 with an annointment bonus that gave me 200% bonus damage while my action skill was active. I got hyped at the thought of doing an extra 215% damage (200% from the gun and 15% from iron bear's bonus on missiles) but didn't notice a big change. Thinking maybe it wasnt applying we tested it with my sister's FL4K and the bonus applied to her character while her action skill was active, but it didn't work while Auto-Bear was active. Is this a bug? Or did they do this for "balancing"? If it's the first case, I'll gladly provide evidence of this happening, but I was just curious to see if anyone ran into this issue. I wish side quest had at least little Impact on main story/gameplay Posted: 13 Jun 2020 05:23 PM PDT Hi, everyone I think there are a couple of sidequest that had a big potential. Recently in Borderlands 3, there is a sidequest in wich we discover that Katagawa Jr. doesn't completely agree with the Calypso twins and we filter some audios to put COV and Maliwan against each other. So it all this conflict happened in one room, killed some enemies and that's it. No other word about an "important" mission to make both factions vulnerable. I mean, I'm not saying we need big changes in main story, let's just say that if we do that quest, we see Maliwan and COV fighting each other in all zones they are and after killing Katagawa Jr, the Calypso twins take over Maliwan and they stop fighting each other and that's it And like this, there are more side quests in the series that can be so much more important in main story without having to totally change mains story, just little details. I stopped playing just after the Halloween event ended, what has been fixed/changed for the better? Posted: 13 Jun 2020 09:22 PM PDT The things that we were complaining about most were unskipable cutscenes, the bank being way too small, weapons disappearing from the bank, and zane being extremely underpowered [link] [comments] |
Shift Codes not working [Borderlands 2] Posted: 13 Jun 2020 04:17 PM PDT I put in valid shift codes and it says "sorry but this code can't be redeemed" what do I do? [link] [comments] |
Coming from bl2. How have weapon manufacturers changed in bl3? Posted: 13 Jun 2020 05:05 PM PDT So I'm getting into bl3 and I'm curious on how weapon manufacturers have changed and if the two new (well atlas returned from bl1) are any good. TLDR how did the meta change? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Jun 2020 06:35 PM PDT Instead of just buying purple weapons, why aren't we able to buy exclusive and powerful weapons only obtainable with eridium? Let us upgrade our weapons, boost their damage output, accuracy or add new and interesting effects to the gun. Let us spend eridium to re-roll anoints, give us temporary benefits, boosting our movement speed, jump height, weapon reload speed, melee damage etc... Does anyone agree? [link] [comments] |
Hellwalker Buff that needs to happen Posted: 13 Jun 2020 09:58 PM PDT I think the Hellwalker is a good gun but like all good guns the Mayhem levels make it very bad. If they buffed Hellwalker by upping the max pelt count chance to 25 and maybe add something to it to make it more unique. Maybe add the the unique feature from the Lucians Call and add more incendiary damage and chance. That would make it atl the most top 3 shotguns, up there with the Reflux and the Anarchy [link] [comments] |
Totally Lost, How-to Steps needed to do Couch Co-Op on Nintendo Posted: 13 Jun 2020 09:43 PM PDT Ok, my son and I totally trying to figure out how to do couch co-op. We both have our own profiles on a family online plan. I read to do couch co-op you need to set it up in 'offline' mode? I'm just not sure how to initiate couch co-op. Do we need to have certain progress? [link] [comments] |
Is this good for running Borderlands 2? Posted: 13 Jun 2020 08:56 PM PDT I want to run Borderlands 2 on good settings, not the best, but not the absolute bare minimum. Would this be good for it? https://www.amazon.com/SkyTech-Archangel-Gaming-Computer-Desktop/dp/B07WD1TFT4 [link] [comments] |

The Ultimate guide for new Vault Hunters Posted: 13 Jun 2020 08:38 AM PDT The idea for this post comes from u/ambassador_pong and his "Newbies" guide. His post mainly goes into the mental side of how to approach Borderlands. Be sure to read this through there are some very good tips: I thought there were always questions about the simplest things in the Borderlands universe so i make an ultimate guide that hopefully answers most beginners' questions. So you decided to become a Vault hunter. Well then let's start. Time is loot!
It is a looter shooter where your success depends solely on the time you are ready to invest. So do not expect to see or get everything in one go on normal.
I can explain it like this. Borderlands 1 is the pure essence of a looter shooter and sometimes so exaggeratedly hard that it takes real dedication. Anyone who has pulled Moxxis Underdome through to the end can confirm this. Or who has made it his personal task to farm a perfect Ajax Spear. This is the stuff nightmares are made of. However, when you have reached your goal, it is indescribably fulfilling. Borderlands 2 is simply a Masterpiece with small quirks. But nevertheless in my opinion the perfect looter shooter until this day. It is so good, to this day, 8 years later there are still players who exclusively play this game. It is also the part with the best DLCs of all time. The Pre Sequel is more or less everything Borderlands 2 is with a sci-fi setting and obvious problems that really piss off a real Borderlands fan. But it is a nice addition if you want to learn more about the story and the background. In addition, the science fiction setting is wonderful. The Borderlands community has grown more and more with this game. Because there is a real diamond under the rough surface.
To make it short if you want to play a simple character: Borderlands 1 - Lilith Borderlands 2 - Salvador Borderlands PS - Nisha These are the perfect characters for beginners when you start, not too difficult, not too easy.
It depends on what kind of player you are! If you are a player who is mainly interested in the story then you can start the next game after you have gone through the DLCs. If you are someone who likes to see everything in a game, start the next level of difficulty.
Borderlands 2 and the Pre Sequel are designed so that to achieve everything you have to play the levels of difficulty in order. For example, if you defeat the final boss of borderlands 2 on normal, the speedy leveling will actually end. In order to continue leveling successfully, you are forced to start the next level of difficulty. It has something to do with xp scaling and that would go beyond the scope of this post if I start to explain it now. In short weak enemies give lousy XP. For effective leveling after the end of the normal run, I would do the following: Play through True Vault Hunter and only do the side quests when you are actually stuck with opponents. Then immediately start the Ultimate Vault Hunter mode. Say goodbye to your social life and really get going. I'll get to the Ultimate Hunter in detail right away. In the first Borderlands it works differently. There is only the first and second round of play. As soon as you finished the story of the second round everything scales to your level. And from then on you should dress warmly. For example, I love looter shooter and BL1 made me swear the loudest. And I hate cursing, it's primitive. But on the other hand your Weapons and equipment become not useless after one or two levels. The Levels on Stuff is not so depending like in the other games. In this one the parts on your Gear are the real deal. I have a level 34 weapon and it still melts enemies at level 69.
The UVHM is the endgame of Borderlands 2 and Pre Sequel. And that actually works quite simply. Everything scales to your level and all drops are more or less at your level. But that comes with a sharp increase in the rate of difficulty. The problem is that Gearbox thought it was funny that a weapon does 800 damage at level 50, but does 2000 damage at level 55. The problem is now obvious. Where a level 50 weapon does damage properly at level 50 opponents, the same weapon is almost useless at level 55 opponents. Unless you know the best weapons and the best skill combination. But I anticipate the topic. Anyone who gets involved with the UVHM should accept one thing. Your weapons and equipment are throwaway products. Here the law applies if a weapon does no damage it will be exchanged. Without thinking about it a second time. Arms race is the perfect expression in this context. It doesn't matter how well you play, but which weapon does the most damage in the shortest time. Of course, if you dodge the bullets that helps immensely, it doesn't help anything if you can't eliminate the current threat. In summary .... If you are a little crazy and farming is your life, you have found your destiny in UVHM. No pun intended ^^ All other stay away from this mode. This mode can break your will to live. It is up to you whether you get involved in the OP levels after the UVHM. And as far as that is concerned you should inform yourself intensively about it. I want to put it this way. I play Borderlands 2 for a very long time and have done the OP levels once. And that's enough for me for this life. Which is not to say that it is bad. It's just not for everyone. Normal - Pee Wee Herman True Vault Hunter - Sergeant Martin Riggs Ultimate Vault Hunter - Rambo OP Levels - Chuck Norris
Farming is really simple in these games. All you have to do is kill the opponent, see if he has dropped anything. Then you go to the main menu and continue your game. All opponents are back and you can try again. The same principle also applies to vending machines. There are a few opponents that can only be farmed once or twice. For example the Leviathan in Scarlet DLC. But if you really want to get into the treasure room you will find a way;) As far as farming in UVHM is concerned. You will do this so often that your main time is spent on farms. A tip for effective farming of an unkempt harold. Get it out of the vending machines in the Campaign of Carnage. Its way easier than farming Savage lee. If you are not sure if a weapon or item is good look here: Borderlands Wiki
Your success in borderlands games is 90% based on your knowledge. Therefore, learn which weapons are good, which items best support your skill tree. A simple example: The Sandhawk is a good weapon. But in Maya's hands, if you have leveled your skill tree correctly, it becomes a real killing machine. But to know that you have to learn. Everything in the Borderlands is designed for optimization. You can reset your skill tree at any time and dying only costs money. And after a time you will have so much money that it will only be a number. A YouTube channel that really helped me in the beginning: BTW: #BringPumaBack:)
The Borderlands are a playground for all types of players. Find the way that suits you best. The Reason i don't include Borderlands 3 is it's not finished. I know that I have not listed everything there is, that would go beyond the already fat frame of this post. But it should serve as a starting point for all types of players. If you're ever stuck or just looking for someone to play with, write on Reddit. The Borderlands community is one of the friendliest and least toxic communities I've ever seen. <3 After all, we were all young Vault Hunters on our first Pandora raid. Welcome to the family ^^ EDIT: I forgot something very important. Everything is saved permanently. If you have a character and want to start another one, each character is its own savegame. If you want to change characters, select Change character in the main menu. Now you have access to all of your characters. And if you choose the char you can always decide on the level of difficulty you are playing. In short, this means you can constantly change your character and also the level of difficulty. Everything is saved, nothing is lost. [link] [comments] |
