Is there a lore reason for the turrets on the edges of the map in Pandora?

All of the borderland games there turrets on some parts of the map to stop you from going too far into the wasteland and I was just wondering is there is a lore reason for this.

For this single reason borderlands one tops the other games imo

A dedicated revolver weapon class. Probably the funnest weapon to play, from the looks to the reload sounds, absolutely superb and satisfying! Why did the devs remove them?

Should I buy the directors cut or the designers?

    Posted: 18 Apr 2021 09:50 PM PDT

I was gonna buy the directors cut because I thought it came with arms race but I realized that arms race is part of designers and I can't decide which to buy.

What char has the most Gun Damage?

    Posted: 18 Apr 2021 08:46 PM PDT

I've heard a lot lately that Amara has the lowest gun damage. So my question is who has the highest gun damage? Without having to activate kill skills first. Of course with normal skills.

Borderlands 3 worth coming back to?

    Posted: 18 Apr 2021 09:11 AM PDT

I dropped Borderlands 3 after the Krieg DLC came out and haven't played actively since then and went back to BL2. I've seen that Gearbox added a lot new stuff to the game, is the new content like the Arms Race DLC and the Raid Boss etc. worth the 30 bucks? I always liked grinding new gear and don't really care about story if there is one

Not sure if anyone else had noticed before. But today I just realized that catch a ride is C.A.R wonder if that was intentional or not. Also rip scooter he was my favorite.

    Handsome collection disc issue

    Posted: 18 Apr 2021 02:15 PM PDT

I've got a problem where I'm not able to launch either bl2 or TPS. The handsome collection disc is in and I'm able to go on it, both games have been installed and successfully launched a lot of time until now. For bl2 I get the "please insert disc" error but for TPS I get the "owner needs to sign in" error. The disc is clean and I've tried a hard reset/cache refresh of the console but otherwise I'm stuck. Haven't found any answers elsewhere either.

I may be dumb, eli5 Artifacts?

    Posted: 18 Apr 2021 01:18 PM PDT

    Hey ladies and gents,

I don't get exactly how they work. "zappy elemental projector"

Elemental damage boost. Damage Boost: 89%

Bottom: while suffering elemental effect do increased damage of that type.

Does that elemental damage apply to everything? Grenades? Every element all the time? There's no slide or anything.

The another: Imbue melee with shock Bonus damage 80% electric

Does that mean all electric damage is increase and bunching gets electric?

Or does it mean, only melee damage is increased by 80% + electricity?

    Cheers, ty.

    Borderlands 1 switch console glitch

    Posted: 18 Apr 2021 07:42 AM PDT

Hey all need some help. Just got the game of the year version for the switch console and I noticed whenever I pick up the same rarity of grenade mod that I currently have equiped what I have equiped overwrites what I picked up. Any help would be appreciated.

    Borderlands 4 Siren

    Posted: 18 Apr 2021 02:20 AM PDT

I'm not sure if it's been thought of already but I thought this was an interesting idea. If there will be a borderlands 4, what're the chances that the Siren (assuming there will be a playable siren) will have Tyreen's PhaseLeech ability? I honestly think it could be a possibility and would make for interesting gameplay. After all, when Tyreen died her abilities would have been released from her to find a new host as it was no longer captive in a vault Thoughts? :)

I'm on PS4 now and wondering if they still have the weapon drop glitch? I haven't started it yet but intended to start and relive the nostalgia.

    Shift codes feel like cheating

Just typed in 6 codes and did the boxes with my girlfriend and we are smashing now. It's fun, but I feel like I cheated.

I LOVED Borderlands 2, but wound up not playing BL3 because the classes looked super bland. How do you guys feel about the classes currently?

    Posted: 18 Apr 2021 08:19 AM PDT

Even in BL2, I actually wasn't a huge fan of any of the base classes. Once the Mechromancer was added, though, it was like the game was suddenly fresh and chaotic like it was supposed to be!

She was an absolute blast, but it was Krieg who REALLY made the game for me! His play styles were just so wild, I felt like a cackling maniac the whole time!

The BL3 could not have been more boring to show off, but maybe I was too quick to judge them? I dunno, how do you guys feel about the classes as compared to the other games?

Fourth skill tree for OC character (Can't tag as OC)

    Posted: 18 Apr 2021 04:21 AM PDT

Hey all, I posted an OC character a while ago on here named Omen, a necromancer type with a skill tree focusing on his summons, a tree based on defense and one based on offense. You can check it out here. https://www.reddit.com/r/Borderlands/comments/inf2kj/character_skill_tree_concept/ Since they've release a new skill tree for every character, I thought I'd do the same. This one is going to focus on supportive and elemental abilities mostly. Please let me know what you think. Thank you.

    Skill Tree 4: Dark Prince

Action Skill: All the Kings Men - Activating All the Kings Men will raise the stats of every ally and their weapons, including minions and yourself, by 25% for its duration. 20 second duration. 75 second cool down.

    Skill Set 1:

Spinal Tap: Shooting an enemy in the back has a 4% chance of rooting them in place for 5 seconds. 5 levels. (20% chance per hit at level 5) (does not affect bosses)

Pointless Bravado: Going into Fight For Your Life causes enemies around you to stop and taunt you. Deal 6% more damage to taunting enemies. 5 levels. (30% at level 5)

    Skill Set 2:

You Look Like...: Shooting an ally with an elemental weapon will apply that element to their currently equipped weapon until they swap to a different weapon. If their weapon already has an element, you still apply your element for added effect. If their element is the same as yours, the strength of that element doubles. 1 level. (The strength of the element you apply copies the stats of the element your gun currently has. Example: If your gun has 200 damage/s at a 14% chance, those same stats are applied to your allies weapon, on top of whatever they already have. Using an element that they currently have equipped will double whatever their guns elemental stats are, regardless of your own.)

...You've Seen a Ghost: Losing all your health in Fight For Your Life causes you to automatically revive in the spot you died at 50% health for 15 seconds. Killing an enemy while in this state will cancel the timer, heal you to 100% health and reload all weapons. Failing to kill an enemy in the allotted time or dying again will kill you as normal. 1 level. 60 second cool down.

Blood Is Thicker Than Water: Any ally within 10 meters of you when you reload automatically has 5% of their maximum magazine reloaded as well. 5 levels. (25% of magazine returned to allies on reload)

Action Skill Augment: All the Kings Men now last 5 seconds longer and has its cool down reduced to 60 seconds.

    Skill Set 3:

Stability: The accuracy of all elemental weapons for you and your allies is increased by 10%. 3 levels. (30% accuracy at level 5)

Disorder: Shooting an enemy with an element it's resistant to does 20% more damage. 1 level. (applies to grenades)

Action Skill Augment: Allies affected by All the Kings Men gain 20% resistance to elemental damage and effects.

    Skill Set 4:

Undying Service: Getting a critical hit has a 4% chance of manipulating an enemy to fight for you until it dies. 5 levels. (20% chance at level 5) (does not affect enemies higher than badass rank) (you can only manipulate one enemy at a time)

Unstoppable: All percentage chances are increased by 25% for all skills. 1 level.

Action Skill Augment: Allies receive 40% bonus stats for the duration of All the Kings Men, but your own stats don't increase.

    Skill Set 5:

Last Chance to Dance: When an Ally kills an enemy of badass rank or higher, all allies, including minions and yourself, instantly recover 40% of their maximum health. 1 level. 90 second cool down.

Action Skill Augment: If an ally under the effects of All the Kings Men goes into Fight For Your Life, they automatically revive. This effect can only occur once per Action Skill use and once per ally. (This effect overrides any ally ability to revive themselves, saving their own effect for when the Augment can't activate. Example: Amara's auto revive will not activate due to this effect, but should Amara go down without this effect available, then her auto revive will trigger.)
