| Posted: 22 Jun 2021 05:44 AM PDT Hi, massive fan of borderlands 1&2 here, looking to pick up bl3 on PC for the first time. Just wondering which edition of the game is worth buying. Right now I can buy the base game on humble bundle for $30 AUD, the "super deluxe" version for $50, or the "ultimate" for $70. I mostly care about the endgame and loot side of the game as I've heard the story kinda sucks from friends. Should I buy the standard edition now and buy the season passes on sale separately later? | BORDERLANDS BATTLE ROYALE CONCEPT Posted: 22 Jun 2021 10:07 AM PDT Borderlands BR game concept Story After the failure of Axton and Salvador's Arms Race reality show, they went looking for ideas for something new. They had the idea of instead of four vault hunters, the game show would have a total of 100 contestants that seek to be vault hunters. Now, you may be wondering "Why can't they become vault hunters themselves?" Well because, if you win the blood sport that is called "Pandoras Champions: Vault Hunters of tomorrow", you have the opportunity to get a vault key fragment. Every gun manufacturer is sponsoring the games and is advertising it to all hell. Join the games, future vault hunter. Gameplay There are teams of 4 of the normal 100 players, at the beginning of each game someone on the team, mainly the party leader, will be chosen as the flag holder (I got the idea from a tik tok video and it seems like a borderlands thing to do, I would credit but I cant remember the creator) and if you run into a sqaud you can force them to duel you, if they decline you have a cool-down of 15 seconds, and the opposite team can heal up if they are low but they have to accept the fight eventually, -Looting As the player, when you spawn in at a location of your choosing, you spawn in with a selection of a pistol of each manufacturer of your choosing, I'll explain later on. From there you can loot weapons, from chest and on the ground, but where loot really shines are from the rare red chest and NPC enemy's and bosses around the huge map. You can also get cash that carries that you keep to your account, like gold bars from Fortnite, and you will also be able to buy ammo, better shields, and weapons from Marcus's vending machines which are abundant but stuff can be expensive. -SDUs In the main menu/lobby screen you can buy SDUs from marcus with the money you can get in-game, and because it's a free to play game I'm sure there will be microtransactions to get more money/eridium. SDU PROGRESS WILL RESET AT THE END OF EVERY 2 WEEKS. -Starting weapons When starting in-game with the affirmention starting pistols from each manufacturer you can choose -DAHL Full auto pistol with high fire rate and damage, with a semi-auto firing mode that deals more damage -Maliwan Charge pistol that has different elements that are random each game, slow fire rate, massive damage -Hyperion Fully automatic with the shield when ADS, insane fire rate, small damage -Jakobs Long to medium range revolver that has medium damage and fire rate. Has a scope -Vladof Semi auto pistol with no fire rate cap, based off the makarov pistol -(NEW) Sanctuary A new weapons manufacturer, slow fire rate, high damage pistol, based off the Desert Eagle Every weapon will have a random sight at the start of the match -Weapons Alot of weapons, not as much as borderlands 3, but still a good amount of weapons, anywhere between 500-1000 different weapon, because come on, it ain't borderlands if there ain't a bunch of guns Oh and also there are new melee weapons as well as rumored to be in the new tiny Tina's wonderlands. -Skill trees The skill trees wouldn't be too big but there is one for a number of builds you can make, also that will allow you to create different characters to make with different skill trees Skill tree category's are -Support -Soldier -Heavy/Beastmaster -Siren -Assasin/Sniper -Cosmetics Cosmetic items in this game would be purchased from Eridium, that you can pay for or for free by leveling up and another way I'll explain later Cosmetic items would be the exact same like any other BL game head, emotes, skins, etc. -Vaults After three wins you get a full vault key, and after you get a full vault key, you can enter a pve, hard, and randomly generated "dungeons'' to make your way to the vault, when getting to the vault, you kill the vault monster, and then get inside the vault. Inside the vault you can earn multiple different things -Eridium -Exclusive cosmetics -Weapons -Skill points -Alot of money -Shields When spawning in you get a basic shield, but you can find different shields -Respawning After dying you can be revived at the same respawn stations like in arms race, after going down, if your team wins the fight you get instantly revived, but only if your still down, during a fight you can still be revived by a teammate or be finished by a enemies -Map I would imagine the map being in a special place in pandora, but I can see possibly other maps on different planets -Abilitys You can choose your abilities at the beginning of the game before spawning in like with the pistols [link] [comments] |

| Tried to play BL2 again after BL3 Posted: 22 Jun 2021 01:59 AM PDT I had to stop. The gameplay is slow, the shooting, the picking up ammo and money. The graphics. Maya is my forever favorite vault hunter, but I'm retiring my BL2. I wish they would bring back the badass psycho and goliaths from 2. They're terrifying. My favorite of the franchise storywise.
