    Fan made Weapon Manufacturer: Biohive

    Posted: 31 Oct 2021 01:16 AM PDT

Apologies for not having a flair but I'm not sure how this applies to the usual posts that are made.

So, an introduction of sorts, I like a lot of the manufactures in the games of course, they are all unique and give the game its juicy flavor (my favorite being vladof) and as I was playing borderlands 3 I thought "what if I made my own unique manufacturer? Give it a characteristic and space for story telling like malawan and atlas" and after a long time I decided to just try my hand at it. I was going to add a whole story based on it but I felt like it would have made the document needlessly long and I dont think ill be able to replicate the borderlands feel without just making it my own stuff.

Biohive is essentially a biological weapons company. It grows its weapons in special vats and gives them properties that make them guns, but they all have a special kick. Hyperion has their aim adjusting shooting, torgue has their explosions, and vladof has its fire rate. But Biohive has its melee transformations! All biohives have bayonets and can transform into melee weapons much like switching barrels in borderlands 3. Each weapon provides a unique melee play style, but all center around being up close and personal and giving the enemy a good shank or two.

I hope this interests a few people, I think it sounds like a fun addition and has space for a story or two. I wanted to make a melee focused gun company because sure it would be funny but it kinda sucks that in all the games in order to make melee do...anything you have to go with the melee focused vault hunter only. I like to shoot but sometimes I just wanna punch a bandit to death you know?

How to make playing with other VHs fun

    Posted: 31 Oct 2021 03:24 PM PDT

Hey there, I have a question for people who have multiple maxed-out characters. I've played through all the Borderland games and enjoyed each and every one of them, but I've always had just one character on each game. I always wanted to try out another VH but I really don't see the point considering I've already done everything with the other character and there's really nothing new besides the fact that different characters play differently. So my question is, how do you make that not boring? Any tips?

Possible theory about the vault hunters in borderlands 4?

    Posted: 31 Oct 2021 05:09 AM PDT

So I am just starting to play borderlands 3 and Marcus seems to be talking to someone during the Intro (or maybe he's referring to the player) and I was wondering if Borderlands 4 is gonna have the vault hunters in it be the ones Marcus was telling the stories to?

How do BL2 DLCs scale exactly?

    Posted: 31 Oct 2021 09:43 AM PDT

Hi fellow BL players, after all these years I still cannot really understand how DLC level scaling works. It clearly doesn't scale in real time like BL3 TVHM/Mayhem does. Could anyone explain it to me? At first I thought it probably scales just like TVHM post-story, but apparently it doesn't. I re-entered Torgue DLC at lvl 20 and both the quest (obviously) and enemies (surprisingly) were still lvl 15. The next quest I accepted wasn't level 20 either. So how does it work? Is the DLC level "frozen" once enter and only adds a level or two throughout the playthrough?

It kinda sucks that you can't experience all the content in one playthrough, you have to pick either Torgue DLC or Cpt Scarlett DLC and even then you'll level up so fast that you pretty much have to skip all side quests. And no, saving DLCs until TVHM lvl 50 isn't really an option because I mainly play solo and it's just too difficult (I only completed TVHM once with Gaige who's pretty much "easy mode" and even then it was tough)

Golden Key distribution policy for BL1, TPS?

    Posted: 31 Oct 2021 09:44 AM PDT

(Let me start by saying I know about the 9 non-expiring codes for 5 Golden Keys each in BL1 that are still available.)

I started playing the Borderlands series in the late spring of this year (not a returning player, brand new to the franchise), and found out about Shift codes around this past May/June, and set up an account and redeemed all the codes I could find (this subreddit has been very helpful, as has ShiftCodesTK.com, which seems to maintain an up-to-date list of all the non-expiring and currently active codes for all the Borderlands games in one place).

It seemed, when I first started looking, last Spring, like new codes were coming out for each game about once every 3-4 weeks (along with there being some non-expiring codes for each game). Now, I'm seeing new codes for BL3 quite regularly (like these and these, this morning), and BL2 occasionally (there are a couple of currently active codes, and a half a dozen non-expiring codes, listed on ShiftCodesTK), but I don't see much in the way of new codes for BL1 or TPS appearing any these days.

Was there any sort of official communication about this? Some sort of backstory? Did I come in on the tail end of some sort of promotion that was giving BL1 some love but is now over? Are they trying to channel players towards BL3 over the other games (that would seem odd, since none of the games have microtransactions - only business reason I could imagine would be to keep the overall internet buzz on BL3 as high as possible, to persuade potential new players to buy the game).

Anyone know what's up? Did I miss an announcement?

    Diamond Loot Plate Box

    Posted: 31 Oct 2021 01:11 PM PDT

Does anyone know where I can get one with useable codes? I saw one on amazon for almost $400, but I don't know if the codes for it are good and that seems a little excessive to me

    The Pre Sequel

    Posted: 31 Oct 2021 11:05 AM PDT

I'm back playing TPS and I've noticed that the legendary drop rates are abhorrent especially for the Luck Cannon (I've tried for over a month to get with no "Luck"). Have any of you noticed this or am I having a fever dream?

Borderlands 3 which DLC to buy ?

    Posted: 31 Oct 2021 03:07 AM PDT

Hi, after a long time i finally bought a game !!
so i'm not a rich guy, so can't really afford to buy much, but i am thinking about buying a DLC,
    Can someone recommend me ?

I'm thinking now either to buy
    - Borderlands 3: Season Pass (There are Story quests)
    or
    - Borderlands 3: Designer's Cut ( New skill trees )

cuz for me they both are almost same price,

    pretty hard decision for me

    Thanks in advance ! :)
