What's up with the xp scaling in this game?

    Posted: 13 Nov 2021 12:02 AM PST

In BL2 with a fresh character, I've been able to complete all of the base game, plus all DLCs, ending up in the mid-40's range for levels upon starting playthrough 2. Currently going through my very first play of BL3 however, one go through all the main story, nearly done with the second DLC, and am already at level 70

This is crazy to me, and I feel like I shouldn't be able to reach max level just playing through normal mode. Did I accidentally pick an option to get massive xp boosts or something?? Lol. Worth nothing, I'm a completionist and do every single side quest as they become available. But again, I'll complete everything in BL2 and only get to the mid 40's by end of playthrough 1.

    What worries me about Wonderlands

    Posted: 13 Nov 2021 10:31 AM PST

    I'm a huge fan of TTAODK .

I think its one of the greatest DLCs ever made.

But I can't help but feel worried about Wonderlands.

My main issue is that it seems like LOL type humor with none of the actual substance.

Dragon's keep was amazing because it took what we knew about Borderlands and turned it upside down

Re-imagining what we love about the game and its story into a medieval RPG.

Redefining Characters we know and love.

However, the main draw of it was that it was the fact that Tina couldn't get over Roland's death.

The main draw was her emotional breakdown halfway though it.

Seeing the goofy hyper dorky Tina opening up and showing us how she felt.

    Wonderlands obviously won't HAVE that.

Its going to be The Elder Scrolls with guns.

What worries me is how they're going to approach this.

What separates Wonderlands from Borderlands besides the fantasy RPG tone?

How is the story going to be done?

How is Gearbox going to profit off this with expensive DLC?

Thats what worries me about Wonderlands.

I hope it isn't funny skyrim with guns.

I want it to be like Dragon's keep with the compelling narrative.

I feel like it's going to take the funny parts of TTAODK but not the parts that made it worth playing.

Am I the only one that enjoys the leveling process?

    Posted: 12 Nov 2021 08:18 AM PST

I've been wondering as I've tried playing on high mayhem lately and I kind realize. I just enjoy playing through the games more then the actual end game content at max level. Is it just me?

    Borderlands 1 and 2 on PS5

    Posted: 13 Nov 2021 10:04 AM PST

Sorry if this is asked a lot just did a quick look up and didn't notice anyone else ask.

I saw they have the legendary collection (BL1, BL2, Pre Seq) on PS5 for 49.99. I have the games on Xbox one already but am curious if it's worth picking up on the next gen console.

I get there's no new material but if anyone has experience is the gameplay and graphics worth the money and the switch? Any info would be cool.

Is Borderlands 3 worth replaying in 2021?

    Posted: 13 Nov 2021 11:36 AM PST

I played through borderlands 3 back when it dropped in 2019, but was super disappointed by the story and lack of things to do. I absolutely loved the gameplay though. I played it on PS4 so it was pretty rough with performance but now I'm debating buying it again for PC. I just want some opinions before I get it again. Like did they add content to actually make the end game enjoyable/is the DLC worth buying and playing?

How well would the Borderlands 1 vault hunters do in other Borderlands 2?

    Posted: 13 Nov 2021 09:38 AM PST

    Title.

As far as my decision making goes, I'm going to make some assumptions

    1. They're health scales according to the new game
    2. They are NOT subject to BL1 mechanics, but to the mechanics of the new game (for example, damage taken will not cause a stagger effect like in BL1)
    3. They will have access to all equipment from the new game. They will keep Class mods and elemental artifacts.
    4. Because dazing is a mechanic present in 3 of the 4 Vault Hunters in BL1, it would make sense to let them keep dazing, since it is a character mechanic and not a game mechanic. This one is iffy though.
    5. Whether they will be subject to Proficiency, Badass ranks, or both, falls into a weird grey area. I'll leave up to people to decide.

As far as my reasoning goes, Brick and Roland both have serious potential. Lilith and Mordecai would be less powerful, but Lilith at least would be perfectly viable in a normal way.

In BL1, Brick's greatest strengths are his shield tanking and raw damage output with all weapons, but especially explosive weapons. His damage output remains very high, but shield tanking isn't so lucky, and is nearly worthless. If he uses a Titan build, he could make good use of the Bee though, and assuming Brick could keep his massive frame from getting hit his damage output would be hard to ignore. His greatest weakness is lacking health regeneration, and that is a massive problem in the BL2 Health-gate reliant environment, making him heavily reliant on Moxxi weapons and preventing him from abusing Torgue weapons that badly. Diehard would help circumvent that though, and Brick would be unique in WANTING to go into FFYL to get his health back above the health gate. I don't think any of that would be his strongest build though. Enter rocket launcher spam. Rockets aren't good in BL1, but with how strong they are in 2 combined with Brick's rocket regeneration, excessive magazine(?) sizes, and ridiculous fire rate gives him phenomenal firepower. His health is still a problem, but his ability to cram 12 rockets into the creamer makes him nearly invincible until he needs to reload, and with his launcher reload speeds he can even make that passable. If we include the berserk speed glitch then Brick maintains some very high speeds as well. I didn't mention Berserk because Berserk just won't work in BL2.

Roland is a budget Brick. His healing and shield regeneration are powerful in BL1, but they aren't enough in BL2, which makes him heavily reliant on Moxxi weapons. That being said, the amount of ammo he can hold is still a boon. In general, he just doesn't have the damage or durability that Brick does, and his rocket spamming abilities through a Marine class mod don't match up with what Brick can do. His scorpio turret is irrelevant.

Lilith would be the least reliant on Moxxi weapons, I think. Healing through Phasewalk is consistent and powerful, and her ability to leave phasewalk and get it back extremely quickly gives her fantastic survivability and maneuverability. That said, elemental weapons aren't as strong in BL2, and while her SMG boosts would still serve her very well, she would be pretty slow in chewing through enemies. Her best bet would be using Maliwan weapons with her Specialist class mod.

More of the same with Mordecai, his healing isn't strong enough to compete with BL2's damage output. Bloodwing could put in work, but the healing from that is too slow to be reliable. Same as before, he would be reliant on Moxxi weapons. However, on the plus side, his ridiculous damage output with pistols is nothing to scoff at, and seeing as the Rubi is a pistol he can get great mileage out of it. His sniper builds would work too, but they wouldn't be as strong. I'm not very familiar with Mordecai, so I'm not certain about my conclusions.

But that's just what I think.

    OP10 Worth it?

    Posted: 13 Nov 2021 09:27 AM PST

I'm currently going through completing the game on PC and I'm yet to reach max level. I remember enjoying OP8 but I recall a lot of people complaining about OP10 being unbalanced. Is it worth playing? Will most OP8 viable builds work and will raid bosses be doable?

    Borderlands 1 is just...STUPID hard

    Posted: 13 Nov 2021 07:42 AM PST

Like...WOW. I'm playing solo on BL1 and this game is just painfully, unnecessarily hard. For the record, I'm a Borderlands fan. I've got about 200 hours in BL2, 100 in Pre-sequel, and 300 in BL3. I played around 20 hours of BL1 back on PS3 but haven't touched since.

I started a new file with Roland, assuming the extra firepower from the turret would be a good substitute for playing solo.

I'm a few hours in, level 14 so far. I feel like I'm constantly coming across enemies multiple levels above me, despite some grinding here and there, no less than previous BL games I've played, which previously has been enough to at least get by. I'm dying in what seems like milliseconds. I have a shield with health regen which helps a bit, but still dying AND running out of ammo constantly due to the high price (relative to where I am in the game) for SDU's.

What am I missing here? Any advice?

    BL2: Platinum Trophy Troubleshoot

    Posted: 12 Nov 2021 09:55 PM PST

Hey guys, I'm sure at least some of you are familiar with the Slag Licked challenge glitch... to put it in summation: I'm missing one challenge (Slag Slicked) for Platinum, it says I'm negative one trillion out of 5000 (-15 345 563 234 234 / 5000).

I know this is an old glitch that has yet to be fixed despite Gearbox's attention to it. Does anyone have an update or tips on how to fix this?

I just completed UVHM on my PS4 (Level 59 Gunzerker).

Anyone wanna help me out and give me some tips (or the build that worked for you/screenshots) on how to beat these unhappy little accidents?

Borderlands 3 Coop PS4 at my friend's house and mine

    Posted: 12 Nov 2021 09:45 PM PST

Hey there, my friend and I want to play Borderlands in person together on PS4. But we live kind of far apart, so sometimes I drive to his house. And sometimes he drives to mine. How do we synchronize the saves so we don't lose any progress? Is there just one save file that stores all of our characters that we copy? Or is there a save file in each of our accounts? I have PS Plus and he doesn't so I was hoping I could just copy the save file through that if possible.

Should I go for 3 or Handsome Collection and 1?

    Posted: 12 Nov 2021 04:33 PM PST

I LOVE Borderlands as a lot of you do

I own 1 (GOTY edition), the complete collection on 360, and the triple pack on ps3

My ps4 NEEDS a BL game. But im conflicted about 3. 3 just doesn't look like Borderlands to me and (personally) the vault hunters just don't seem as interesting.

I heard the handsome collection has a lot of improvements and I do love 2.

I also heard the PS4 remake of 1 is good too.

Should I opt for 3? Or go for Handsome collection + 1 ?

    What does the community think?

Im buying for a base PS4 just for reference.
